Campus in the Rain
By Shanella Victor

A chill wind, sharp as winter's breath, kissed my skin. Tall taro plants swayed in a frantic dance, their broad leaves rustling a counterpoint to the serene stillness of the palm trees. The rice paddy beyond the campus lay veiled in a soft, rain-blurred haze. Muddy paths, slick with the recent downpour, mirrored the sky's grey expanse. The rain, a relentless curtain, washed over everything, a captivating symphony of nature. It was a day for quiet contemplation, for the slow, deep breaths that only the sound of rain can inspire—a prelude to a peaceful slumber, and the promise of awakening to a chorus of birdsong.

The scenery near the school was beautiful. The bus meandered along the narrow road. Tall and stately coconut trees stood beside the road, and a goat grazed peacefully in a nearby field, its soft bleats carried on the wind. The rice fields now glistened with raindrops. For in nature, we find peace and a sense of connection to something greater than ourselves.

Raindrops Reflection on Campus

A frosty wind touched my skin. Taros were dancing as the wind approached them. While palm trees were as calm as my heart as I went outside. The rice field is blurry; what a rainy day! Paths are muddy due to heavy pour of rain. The weather captivated my soul. It makes me want to take a nap while listening from the pouring rain to waking up from the chirping birds.

NATURE WRITING

Every day at Bulusan High School, feeling the cool breeze that makes the morning refreshing. The open spaces and greenery around the campus create a calm atmosphere, even as the day gets busy with classes. When school ends, the sky begins to change colors, blending with the distant mountains, reminding me of how nature is always present in my daily routine.

After School Horizons

by Sophia Fresa

Between 4:00 and 5:00 p.m., the campus of Bulusan High School is transformed by gentle beauty. Shadows are elongated, as the sun dips below the treetops, shimmering speckles of golden rays glisten off the leaves above, tracing patchwork patterns on the forest floor. The sky overhead changes in a breathtaking display — muted orange and pink smoothly fading into blue; clouds catching the sun’s rays, fringed in gold.

The mountains far away stand darkly outlined, softened edges in the glow of the light. We can hear birds chirping and a gentle breeze move leaves around us along with the faint smell of grass and dirt and laughing and chatting students in the background. In these moments, the school feels wrapped in the embrace of the natural world — vibrant, tranquil, and quietly miraculous, as the day eases toward the evening.
